Market Pix- FINALLY!

Better late than never, right!?

This is a good pic of the CRAZY OLD LADIES booth.

We were on a corner, so this is the view from the other side.

I had so much fun! I'm still waiting for most of the pix from my Dad- the one's with all the 'cool' people in them. But here are a few that I took of some of my favorite booths.

Lila Tueller's booth featuring her new line Santorini (watch for a pattern coming soon made with this fabric!). LOVE this booth. So fun and funky and totally Lila. She even won an award for her booth. BTW- Lila was dressed in her clothes made from her fabric EVERYDAY and looked fabulous!

Of course, Fig Tree. This booth was amazing. Didn't get a picture of the entire thing but you can definately get the feel. Everything Fig Tree. Joanna also won an award for her booth for merchandising. I would say so.

Bonnie and Camille of ThimbleBlossoms had a darling booth. I wanted to pick it up and place it in my dining room. Their new line "Simple Abundance" is a new favorite of mine. Look for patterns using that line, too. Probably more than one since I love it so much!

OK. Being a semi-retired scrapbooker (geez, how much can a girl do!?) I just about died when I first started seeing patterns by Sweetwater. Then, a fabric line. Oh my, I feel faint. I can't even begin to tell you how much I LOVE this fabric. This fabic has 'type' on it (much like their scrapbook paper which I own a TON of) Anyway, I grabbed a load of this at sample spree. So guess what? look for patterns coming in this one, too. :o)

Tired yet? Just a couple more!

Another scrapbooker's favorite- Eva by Basic Grey. Love It! One problem. I got a sneek peek at this fabric a couple of months ago and designed a beautiful pattern to go with it. Even had a name and everything. Just waiting to get to Sample Spree to get some fabric. I walked into Moda's booth and saw this quilt hanging and just about cried. Um, my pattern was so close to this -and in the same fabric- that there is no way I can market it. ARGH! I guess great minds think alike! Don't worry. I revisited the pattern and it, too, will be coming out soon. ;o)

Last one! (for now) This is a new line coming out from a new designer called French General. It is really pretty. Did I get any at Sample Spree? Absolutely not! I think this was the hottest item and off the table faster than you could think. That's ok. I think I have lots going on already, I should leave some for the other designers out there, right!?

BTW- Moda had a cute laundry theme going on. Laundry baskets, soap, and clothes lines all over. It was super cute!

Well, I don't know about you guys- but I'm exhausted. See you soon!

SHIPPING!

My boxes from Market finally showed up today. I was a little worried because they told me I would get an email with my tracking number and I never did. I was thinking I was going to have to call someone and let them have it. :o) Anyways, the boxes came today and I'm busy sorting out my inventory. So for all of you shops out there that ordered patterns- THEY'RE ON THEIR WAY!

All done

Well, my first trip to Spring Quilt Market in PA has come to an end. Tomorrow I will wake at the crack of dawn and head back to the promised land (HA!). It has been an adventure. Here are a few notes:

I have TONS of pics, but didn't have my cord to plug into my comp. so you'll have to wait until next week to see them.

I worte the most AWESOME post the other night about our schmooze cruise with MODA and when I hit 'publish post' it all went away. errrrr. I was so tired I just went to bed.

The most fantabulous thing that happened at market- I MET TULA PINK! She totally rocks!

Wanna see me!? Check out http://fatquartershop.blogspot.com/ and scroll to the bottom of todays post. You can look at all the pics, but only the last one is the BEST!

See you soon!

Printing Perfection!

Crazy Old Ladies is growing- thanks to all of you! I can't do all the patterns from home anymore so I decided to go to a printer. A friend of mine, and fellow quilter, happens to be the daughter of the owner of Alexander's Print Advantage. Her Mom is an avid quilter, too. I decided to check out Alexander's to see what they could do- and they are AMAZING! The quality is beautiful, the price was fantastic, and the turn around was superb. And best of all- I'm ready for market now!

Thanks Alexander's for helping me grow my business!
